DTC!!!!!!!

We are officially in the black hole of waiting, waiting, waiting. Our dossier was sent to China on October 7. Once we get a log-in date, it will be between 6-7 months until our referral! So in the meantime I obsessively track the cost of plane tickets (we WILL fly business class, come hell or high water...) and learn baby lingo (crib bumper - HUH??). And for others in the adoption process who, like me, constantly seek nuggets of information from other adoptive families, here is our time line: 6/10: Sent application to Great Wall 6/17: Sent I600A to BCIS 6/23: I600A receipt date 7/5: Started homestudy 8/9: Homestudy complete - draft received 8/23: BCIS fingerprinting appointment 9/1: Final Homestudy received and sent to BCIS 9/21: I171 Received 10/2: Dossier fed-exed to Great Wall 10/7: DTC!!! 10/26 LID!!!!
